Searching by service and postcode opens in the DOMI app at launch. Each provider chooses the areas they cover, so what you can book depends on providers near you.

How it works

From describing the job to reviewing it.

  1. Describe the work

    Pick a service, or describe a custom job in your own words.

  2. Find providers

    See local providers with their prices, reviews and free times, or receive quotes for a custom job.

  3. Review the price

    The provider’s price, extras, DOMI’s booking fee and the total, before you pay.

  4. Confirm the booking

    Choose a time. The provider accepts or declines the job.

  5. Pay through the app

    Your card is reserved, or a 20% deposit is taken if the job is more than 5 days away.

  6. Manage the work

    Message in the app. The provider checks in and takes before and after photos.

  7. Raise an issue if needed

    Report a problem within 48 hours of the job being marked done. Your legal rights continue after that.

  8. Review the job

    Only customers who booked and paid through DOMI can leave a review.

Payments through Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe and go to the provider’s own Stripe account. DOMI’s booking fee (3%, £0.50 to £3.99, plus card costs) and commission are taken as a fee at the same time. DOMI doesn’t hold customers’ money, and this isn’t an escrow service.

When your card is charged

Three different checks

Identity: Stripe checks every provider (and their company) before they can be paid. Registrations: DOMI checks the official register for gas, electrical, waste and other regulated work. Insurance: recommended, but not required or checked. None of these checks assesses skill or quality.

Cancellations and complaints

Cancel free within 14 days of booking, before the job starts. Report a problem within 48 hours for DOMI’s quick fix process, with DOMI deciding if you can’t agree. Your legal rights always continue.
